Kennedy, Hernandez & Associates represented the Padilla family in two lawsuits against Bernalillo County for the wrongful death of the family’s son due to a deputy-involved shooting in 2017. The settlement includes $1 million from Bernalillo County to settle a federal lawsuit and $800,000 to settle claims pending in state District Court.
